A few days ago it came to our attention that a family we know working in Qatar is in trouble.
Matthew accepted a transfer to an office there with his company. He brought along his wife and 3 adopted kids. About 2 weeks ago, his daughter unexpectedly died of unknown causes. Subsequently the local police detained him and his wife on charges of trafficking and murder. The remaining children are in protective custody.
This hits home, not only because we've met them and their family is close to us but also because they were following their passion for the nations...as we are. We must remember that this call to service is not without danger. But that our God sees our suffering and hears our cries, and responds to our prayers.
