After a rattling 9-hour bus ride along some steep cliffs and through the hot terrai we finally arrived at the hospital in Tansen. Fortunately the four of us managed to avoid getting sick during the long journey (not everyone on board was so lucky.) It appears everything made it as well (though my favorite handicraft lamp was bent slightly.) We immediately moved into our new flat upon arrival and most things are now in place more than a week later.
The next week and a half will be devoted to language study and settling in further. Leona's work orientation is scheduled for June 1st and she will start full-time work a week or so later. Thank you for your prayers during this difficult transition as we anxiously begin our new life in Tansen.
