A Vision

Last Sunday we were presented at our home church, Reality Ventura, which meant we had a few minutes to share about Nepal.  We were nervous but had many great things happen as a result.  I wanted to share one amazing story.

One young lady approached to share that she had a vision while we were speaking.  Holding her sleeping 3-month-old son in her arms, she shared the following vision that made us tearful.

She saw a mountain with clouds beneath it, and there was a line of people on this mountain.  Included in the line were Tim and I.  The clouds then broke open, and she saw that there were many more people beneath the clouds, a large group of them.  She asked God what that was supposed to mean, and she understood it to mean that there would be multiplication of discipleship as a result of Tim and I working together with God.  She also heard the verse from Jeremiah 33.3

"Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know."

This vision is so incredible because none of the details of the vision were things that we shared, yet they are all incredibly aligned with what God has shown us so far.  First, Tansen sits on a mountain (well, the locals consider it a "hill," but we Californians would call it a mountain at 5,000 feet) that overlooks a valley.  However, much of the time that valley is covered in a layer of clouds so that the mountain seems to be above the clouds, just as in her vision.

Second, we have been learning a lot about discipleship, particularly ways to multiply God's disciples quickly yet effectively with the help of the Holy Spirit.  The fact that she used the exact words "multiply" and "discipleship" confirmed these hopes for us and that He is teaching us these things for a specific purpose.

Third, Jeremiah 33.3 is a verse that recently spoke hugely to me.

God is so kind: He gave this vision to her, He gave her the faith and courage to share it with us, and He allowed us to share in the vision so that we could feel further confirmed in what He is leading us toward.  I can't wait to see the results!  Please join us in prayer so that we can successfully work with God to make this incredible vision come true, that many Nepali people might know His truth.
