You may have read Tim's post about me in April describing the difficulties of my board exam and contractions. I thought I'd follow up.
Thursday morning before work, I checked my email. I gasped when I saw that there was an email stating that my board exam results were available! I quickly went to the website to try and--quickly--get my results. Of course, I couldn't remember my darn username and password. Once I figured those out, the website told me that it was having difficulties that day. Really? Did they understand that I thought I might have actually failed this test given how horribly the day went?
After about 10 minutes of attempting but failing to find my results, I went back to my email box. A few emails below was one from the American Board of Family Medicine kindly informing me that I haven't yet completed all the requirements to obtain my board certification, namely completing residency and passing the board exam. Yes, thank you, I am aware of those two requirements. But within that body of the email, they told me I had passed the exam!
I stood up and cried in Tim's arms. Praise God! What a relief.
My contractions have also slowed down. I still have them, but they don't come in such frequent waves, so they are much more like Braxton Hicks now. And tomorrow marks the start of our third trimester. Praise God! The little guy is moving a lot know. Even though his force sometimes takes me by surprise, it is so comforting to feel him.
Now we have three weeks left of residency, three month until our little boy is due to enter the world, and about seven months until we enter the world of international mission work as a family. Praise God!
Please join us in continuing to pray for these great steps ahead.
Congratulations; that's wonderful to hear! I was in suspense while reading the post, afraid to skip ahead.
ReplyDeleteHaha, that's great because I felt in suspense in real life! We love that you read and respond to our blog. Thank you, Ryan!
